We bought our house in Weston, CT two years ago as a weekend escape from Brooklyn. Because we weren’t moving out of our apartment, we had to furnish the entire place. It was so much fun to do, but it was also VERY expensive.
This left little money for any actual decorating. We were very lucky that the previous owners did a renovation in the mid-90s and then didn’t live in the house full time after that. All the appliances and cabinets are in great condition and we didn’t have to replace them, but some of the decor choices where not so great.
This brings me to our tiny powder room. It’s the only bathroom on the first floor and gets used by us and guests all the time. This room was fine except it had this crazy floral sink and a whacky 90s faucet. We asked a plumber how much to change the vanity all together and it was super complicated and expensive.
We came to terms with that crazy sink… for a while. Since we have moved here full time and I have been home during quarantine I was determined to fix up this bathroom without a renovation or decorator prices. Check out the before and after on my IG page and the products we bought to bring this powder room to life!
